Transport Policy
Following your order confirmation, you will receive the shipment dispatch information, the choice of carrier remains at the discretion of Steel City ™. Your order will be shipped to the carrier's depot nearest to your delivery address. The carrier will then contact you to determine the date and time of delivery. Your address must be accessible by a delivery truck. It is your responsibility to be present during the delivery and to cooperate with the carrier so that the schedule is respected. Steel City ™ reserves the right to charge additional shipping, handling, storage and restocking fees for any unclaimed order. The transporter will unload the goods at the delivery address, but is not responsible for transporting them inside, this is the customer's responsibility.
N.B. Additional delivery charges may apply if you are located in a remote area of Canada or if the delivery address is in a restricted area. In this case, one of our customer service representatives will contact you to give you the details of the applicable fees. For residents of areas not covered by the Standard Shipping Policy (NU, NL, NT, YT), please contact us directly at info@steelcitymachines.ca to obtain a quote.
IMPORTANT! It is the customer's responsibility to inspect the goods before accepting delivery. The customer must carefully inspect the packaging and the condition of the goods to ensure that no apparent damage has been caused during transport. THIS VERIFICATION IS VERY IMPORTANT AND MUST BE CARRIED OUT PRIOR TO THE SIGNATURE OF THE BILL OF LADING. This procedure is part of your consumer rights. Do not be intimidated by the truck driver and do not sign the delivery note under pressure. If you notice that the goods have been damaged, do not sign the delivery note and contact us immediately. By following these instructions, you exclude any liability on your part.
